What You Can Do

First, if you have not already done so, get yourself acquainted with what this website is all about.

  • We suggest you start with the homepage where you will learn about the reality concerning money, including see the video and article about it here.
  • Then read this page to see that these ideas are not new and that there have been very successful implementations of them in times past. We have just modernized them.
  • Then it would be helpful if you were to read this page in its entirety, as it will provide you with the full context on what we are attempting to accomplish, followed by this page specifically geared towards Congress and what we want from them. After that, the below letter will make a lot more sense. Thanks for all you do.

Taking Action

  1. Sign the petition on this page: https://wethepeoplecampaign.net/petition/
  2. The single most important thing you can do is to get your representatives in Congress to co-sponsor our proposed legislation. That includes your Representative and both Senators. To help you in that effort, we have prepared a draft letter from you to them that you can customize. Here is the one for your Representative. Go to this link and fill in the blanks, select your Congressperson and we will provide you with a draft letter to insert in your email or snail mail to send to them: https://uniexbank.com/ltr2representatives.  If you already have a relationship with your Representative, then sending it to the directly would be good. If you do not already have a relationship, then we recommend contacting that representative’s staff, in particular who ever advises them on legislative matters. Contact them and send the letter to them to pass on to the representative.
  3. Along with a letter to your Representative, we recommend you send one to each of your two Senators as well. Here is the link to obtain a draft letter for them: https://uniexbank.com/ltr2senators.
  4. The next most important thing you can do is to share this website with your network and encourage them to get involved this way as well. The more Congressional representatives and Senators that we can get on board, the better our chances to get this legislation approved.
  5. Next, you should consider launching a local/regional complementary currency program of your own. Even without this legislation there is much good that can come from doing so. If we get this rider passed, that will amplify its effectiveness many times. Go to this page to learn about launching a program in your region.
